I emailed on it last month, along with reportedly half the Porsche community and all of Europe. He got back to me yesterday as he plans to re-list it.
I suspect like many, I was very interested until I heard the desired price. For $70k, I'd rather have an actual 930 with 100k more miles. I saw no bids at $28k and wondered what I could get this otherwise desirable mongrel for. Besides the rust inside the fender, it seems to be a very clean car with a good history. It has been in the family since '91 and he has paperwork for the body work
The motor is a bit of a mystery, because there's no intercooler, and there's no photo of the turbocharger...Looks like a 3.2 to me, but he said it was a 930 motor. I dunno. It's a heavily modified car, but it's also a widebody 911 with a G50 and (possibly?) a 930 motor.
The dog looks dead; a good indicator of a good dog.
