People often don't know what they have. In this case, the seller doesn't know what he doesn't have, leading him to believe the car's worth about twice its real-world value.
It's probably a $40 car in this market, sans the 930 fenders. There's simply no way a non-factory-installed body kit doesn't decrease the value of this otherwise apparently stock G50 911. The seller needs to find someone like the OP, who just wants to drive and enjoy the car as it is, since this kind of buyer is less likely to consider the cost of removing the wide body in their negotiations.
If this seller has learned what he didn't know when he first listed the car on ebay, he'd jump on the OP's $40-$50K.
