I tried that method and was getting a weird number for the offset. Granted, this was about 2 years ago now, and I didn't really know much about wheels at the time and was constantly remeasuring after finding out I did it wrong. They fit my stock SC pretty much the same as the 16x7&8 Fuchs I have on it now, so if that is the fitment you are looking for, these might work. Obviously the actual offset will be different with a different width wheel, but the fitment in terms of how deep the wheel goes into the car should be the same since you would be changing to a deeper lip.

The wheels got put into boxes and stashed at my parents house when I moved, so I don't have them on hand. However, if you think there's a good chance they could work, then I can make a call and try to get things sorted out. Maybe this doesn't help at all, and if you don't think they'll work for you, no worries.
