I've never used the product, or what you want to do with it. However - I used to own a fiberglass travel trailer, and the gelcoat gets aged and flaky with time. So there was a lot of discussion on the fiberglass RV forums about various products to use. The cheapest, easiest and most available however, turned out to be Zep brand wet look floor polish from Home Depot (for sealing vinyl floors). It's 30 bucks for a gallon.
