Here is some information I have from two previous owners.
The engine has about 3000 miles since it was built about 10 years ago by a race shop in Northern California. It was built for a dedicated track 914 which I purchased two years ago (I put about 500 miles on it).
The person I purchased the car from purchased it to make it steerable again but didn't quite finish the job. I am finishing the task of making it steerable again.
I agree that being able to see the engine run or even better drive a car with the engine installed would be great. When I first advertised the engine I offered for interested parties to drive the car but no one stepped up. When the time to remove it from the car for the new engine I made a video and posted it on youtube. That was the best I could think of at the time. The shop doing the engine work is well known in Florida, and the tech is well known and recognized as a top Porsche technician. If any one is interested they can call the shop and talk to the tech that knows the engine.
I think that is as much as I can do at this point. Willing to consider any suggestions.
