I use Mint as my desktop (and laptop, and desktop at work, and desktop in the lab where I teach) but I'm teaching the LPI certification course which uses Ubuntu, and I teach a "Network Services With Linux" and we use Debian for all servers there. Kinda nice, since Ubuntu is based on Debian, and Mint is based on Ubuntu.
Have used quite a few others over the years, including a LFS system and Gentoo...
