The clock, your interior lights, and cig lighter are all on the same fuse. If you have a short somewhere (small enough to not blow the fuse), it might cause your clock to run slow.
Check that fuse is 15amp, and that the PO didn't put something higher in to keep it from blowing, when he sold it.
