Help Needed

This is a picture of my wife handing me the keys to my Christmas present in 2002, a new 2003 R1100SA in Phoenix Grey. Like a fool I later traded it in on another bike and would like to buy it back. Is there a website where I can enter the VIN number and possibly track it down. It was purchased at Gina's BMW in Iowa City, Iowa. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you might try micapeak.com. they have various listing of motorcycle vin and owners.

Why don't you give us complete information here. Like the Vin# and when you traded it in so we can do our sleuthing...

Further, I know the feeling, as I had traded in my 2000 long ago for a new shiny 2007 R1200s, and immediately regretted it.
Six (6) years later I managed to buy it back.. What you have to hope for is that it's not all beat to crap... Fortunately mine was all pristine still on the outside.

Thank you all for the replies and suggestions. I will check out micapeak. Traded it in at Gina's BMW in Iowa City, Iowa in June of 2005. VIN is WB10432A73ZB52756.

I just Googled the vin and got one hit - thecarvin.com. Looks like for $9.99 you can "Get Full History", but I'd be surprised if the current owner is listed. There is a cryptic message that the info is from Ebay Motors public database.

Edit: on second look, the full history would be on that vin that's listed (52935), and the lower section where yours is listed isn't clickable.

Thanks Terry. I've run into the same thing. They "claim" to have info on my VIN # but I imagine the info is its a valid VIN.

Why don't you ask the New Owners of Gina's BMW. They must have a file on that bike and who it was sold to. Take your Vin# with you. That will at least get you started in the right direction.
