mileage may be going up but performance MUST be going down.

the air is thinner, so if the motronic is shooting for stoichiometry then it must be using less gas. simple no?

The first 6-7000 miles I used over 2qts of oil at least. Oil consuption seems to be slowing though. I had never heard heard engine breaking causing oil cunsupmtion, but in my case I do a great deal of engine braking when riding.

Absolutely correct. 1973 riding my Kawasaki H2 over Wolf Creek pass in CO with NJ jetting, I thought I was going to have to get off and push. Bought some smaller mains in Durango and it ran again! Carbs or EFI-atlitude don't lie.

Missed the 10K mark by 3 miles for the pic.

George, are you comming to Tryon for the ECD Run? All you'll need is clothes. I have a washer and dryer and an extra sleeping bag at the Bikehaus.

Bubba I sure would like to come. With the crew you've got assembled I'm certainly trying to make it happen. BUT with work so slow and no vacation days left it may only be a dream. I will keep you posted. Thanks.

Just past the 4500 km
and the oil was on the dot in the middle of the looking glass,
put 0,2 L oil in it,
and it's now somewhere between the middle dot and the high marking in the looking glass (I don't want to overfill it)

I have made a appointment on the 16th to do a dyno-run and fine-tune the Rapid Bike in Goes (Ruud Fredriks) but didn't find anyone (with a standard HP2 S) to come with me

I just had my 12K service done with 15K miles on the bike. I used about 2-3oz of oil with about 7k miles on the oil. The oil indicator was half way down from the top half of the site glass. I got this pic when I drove into the garage 2 weeks ago.

djbeer, have you experienced any serious problems in the 15k miles?

The only problem was the battery. It would not crank when the engine was hot. It was replace with 7k miles last June ? under warranty. Very rarely the bike will stalled when warming up.

does this mean stockers and then set #2. or stockers and set #1 and #2, either way you are getting a ton more miles out of your tires than I am. I am on set 3, ready for set 4 with 10K miles.

I am getting about 8K miles per set of tires with some tread left. I did buy one set of tires.
