I think it is still quite a cool bike, even if it does bear resemblance to a Confederate.
I always thought the transverse-V, which makes the driveline longitudinal, and lends to shaft-drive was a bit more interesting than the Harley-style arrangement, with big drive belts. I like the BMW boxer driveline for the same reason, plus the full 180-degree, split-pin boxer arrangement that creates better balance and vibration cancellation. |

the confederate bikes are the ugliest POS bikes i have ever seen. i see no vision, just some idiot who thinks he is creative because he knows how to run an endmill and makes every part out of billet, or welded up aluminum sheets. i would rather ride a moped than one of those FAG bikes

Best use of a Guzzi motor I've seen to date.
I don't see a lot of similarity to Confederate other than the fork, which I think they did a better job. Overall, a very odd bike fer sure.

I have to say I like both the Confed Wraith and Hellcat. I like the Renard too.
The only Confed elements that it "shares" would be a girder fork and a solo seat. Time was when EVERY BIKE had those two elements, so I hardly see this as a copy.

I went on their website but despite the model name failed to find any photos with the luggage kit installed.
Hmm....

Boy, is that one fuglyucker bike. Can't imagine anyone wasting money on something like that...but...whatever.
This is perhaps the ugliest thing on two wheels I've ever seen on this board. Hmm, maybe someone should start a thread for the "Ugliest Bike on the Planet." Cheers, BJ |

Form above function for sure. I look at them more of a collector items that just happen to have 2 wheels. Not my cup of tea.
And if we are talking ugly the RxxGS's have to be front runners, until you throw a leg over the seat and head down a nice road, then they turn beautiful, function over form.

Well Ron,
I'm so fanatic with the Wraith thing (and the rest)...that I've spend 2 months in weekends modeling the thing (Microstation, CATIA and UGS/NX). Then I've mailed the dataset to Bentley (maker of Microstation). Apparently Software Gurus there liked the thing a lot > anyone using the latest builds of Microstation can see aspects of this 3d model as a testimony for the new stunning Nexus rendering engine (licensed from Luxology) ![]() PS: Number plate shown is Ray Bentley personal plate

I'm one of those guys who really doesn't care what my bike looks like (a colgate R12s proves that point) as long as it is clean and cared for. Once I'm sitting on it I don't have to look at it. That's the other guy's problem and their opinion means little to me in this regard.
![]() What I really care about is how it feels when I ride it. That's why I bought the R12s and that's why I'll withhold comments about these until I ride one - other than to say they look interesting. Yeah, the looks of the R12s are growing on me. Not because it's a stylistic icon but because of the experience it represents .Regards, Ian

Here's some aspects of the Luxology related manual. Wraith achieved immortality (until the next Wraith, that is)

![]() And as to the other comments about form/function I'm in agreement up to a point. The big "dual purpose" machines aren't that attractive to the eye, but they do work. One of my occasional riding partners has ridden the Isle of Man, and when I first met him one of his street machines was an RG500 Suzuki, he was sort of quick on that machine. These days he rides an R12GS and I think he just as quick now. (OR, I'm getting a LOT slower...lol) But...those Confederate things? Uh, I don't think so... Cheers, BJ |
