Jeff, in heavy braking, how's the dive as compared to the H2S? How's the slipper clutch in multi-gear downshifts? What about low rev torque? What tyres are you going to go to? Have you thought about the new Pilot Pure's?

I'll throw in my 2 cents worth here too. Although I haven't ridden the HP I can make a comparison to a Gixxer and the ZX10, both of which seem to have significantly more dive under braking. I would assume its because of the oversized forks in the new Beemer? The slipper is flawless...literally you can be riding in 6th gear...smack the think down into 1st, let out the clutch and just feel the bike settle in. And the bike seems to pull from just about everywhere. And yes I am still excited about my new purchase so I may be a bit biased...but when you just start to twist the throttle and you feel like somebody with size 15 boots just kicked you in the back and in your rearview are all the faces of those you were just sitting next too...its, well...intoxicating!

i've tried the braking with and without abs on the bike. Both work very well,(my first ABS bike), although i do get a little shake in the foot brake peddle under extremely hard braking. IMO the brake distance is the same as the hp2 or very close, not enough to talk about really. With the traction control on i haven't noticed the slipper clutch. I don't do a lot of shifting with the bike because of the power and with of the band. most of my riding is under 10K except of sections where its better to wind out the bike. The rpms go so fast above 10k that its like warp speed, everything happens very very quickly. The torque is as good as anything out their from about 4k on. I use 2nd,3rd, 4th alot . You can go into any corner in any of these gears,(depending on your comfort speed), and pull out. i just wish the traction was more variable in its adjustment. It could be dialed to your riding style,(opps their goes my hooliganism again ).as for tires, well..... i'm looking at the bridgstones but will go to the pirellis DRAGON SUPERCORSA PRO first because i'm used to this tire and its has the best grip of any ive seen or used I won't use any pilot tires on this bike. IMO they are not reliable after 1000 miles. The three sets that ive used all have had heat cycle problems which made them slick as snot, won't use them as i won't use dunlops for the street. personal opinion, other people can be beta testers for these tires. cya jeff

Good to see more options. I was referring Jeff to the oil and coolant protection RG had.
