Main seal replacement

Any insight on a main seal replacement on a Boxster, looks like I have one leaking.

unfortunately, there have been a number of these seal leaks reported.

Generally, Porsche fixes -- even if out of warranty.

The key apparently is what caused the leak. In certain cars, just the seal needs to be replaced. In others the leakage is caused by excessive spacing of the crank. This requires replacement of the engine.

yes, replacement of the engine for an oil leak.

BTW, be sure it is a Rear Main seal, there have been reports of Intermediate seal leaks as well as leaks from the fill tube.

JMorgan,
It looks like the oil filler area that's leaking. Can you get to that area from inside the rear trunk or does the engine need to be dropped?
Also what parts need to be ordered for the repair if any.
Once again you guys are an extreme help.
