Replaced starter and now the engine runs very poor
Help pleeeease,
I don't know what I've done, but since I replaced the starter motor, I drove the car up the road and it started sounding like it was running out of petrol (it wasn't). When it idles and I accelerate, the engine sounds 'tappity'. I must have done something when I removed and put back the Manifold and throttle body, but I was super careful. Any help very welcome. Thanks in advance. Jules Boxster 2.7 2008 |

Jules - you know what the problem is. Start taking stuff off and keep going until you find what you either reinstalled incorrectly, or didn’t completely reinstall.

Did you by chance touch the butterfly in the throttle body?
I've heard a lot about how the fly-by-wire butterflies do not respond well to being moved by hand. I suspect that it somehow throws off the calibration.
