Looking for brake pad changing advice...I have heard guys at the track say that changing brake pads between the track and non-track is quick and easy-just pop the pads in and out. However, when I changed pads this week-end the dampeners had to get removed from the pads that they are stuck to.
Do you just re-glue them or do you have to get new dampeners each time? They can be damaged when being peeled off the brake pads. Any thoughts?

Leave the dampers on the street pads. If you’re at the track you don’t really need them on the track pads. Especially if you’re going to swap them back out.
Depending on your skill level on track, you could always use a compromise pad that does not squeak on the street and gives you reasonable braking on the track.
