For the purpose of making sure I'm am getting a good deal on insurance, I called around to a couple places this morning. All were very nice, but one pissed me off. After getting all the pre- quote stuff, they asked what were the regular daily drivers. So I told them...then they said that we can't quote or insure you because my daily driver is older than the Boxster. When I pressed them they would quote me, but not send me the app. I then press for an answer on the why...Their responce was
" because the car I drive to work was older it could break down... and or... I might want to drive my car to work". so they don't insure people like me. I have full coverage with State Farm for the three cars plus I didn't want coverage from them for any car but the Boxster. still NO. Pissed me off. they advertise in every issue of Excellence, plus they want you to join PCA. Any one else get a simular treatment???

If its Leland West, I have had problems with just trying to get a quote. It really turned me off. If they were that messed up with the quote process, I would hate to see a claim process. I have heard positive comments from people that have been insured by them. But since my quote experience a few years back, I have stayed away from them.

Yea it was Leland West. I wasn't gonna mention names . They don't seem to want new business. If you get a look at the riders they want ...you can't take your car on a trip with out permission, you can't drive it for any purpose but pleasure, you can't leave it at a parking lot or garage for more that three days...ect.
Shoot if Ididn't want to take it out of the garage and all may cars were new what would I want a quote from them for. State Farm has been great to me. We have 4 cars, I have a 17 year old son that drives the 80sc and while the price isn't cheep, they insure him and never even blinked, he had to take a class in safe driving was the only stip.
