Ignition switch ????
My battery when dead due to the dash gauge lights remaining on after removing the key. I replaced the rear part of the ignition switch and it still behaves the same. If I use the remote to lock and then unlock the car the gauge lights go off ok. Also I noticed if the lights are on and I unplug the connector off of the ignition switch the gauge lights remain on.
Is this an ignition switch problem or something with the security system? 2000 Boxster S Carlisle PA |

Needs a compete ignition lock assembly, you keep your original key and cylinder.
Replacing the electrical switch only may not cure the problem.
