1999 A/C not cold

Hi all,

My A/C is not blowing cold air at all.

When I turn on the A/C I can tell the compressor engages, checked the system pressures, seem normal, all the fans seem to be working, but only warm air.

Anyone have any thoughts on what to check next?

Thanks

Jeff

I have same problem with my 1999 Carrera. You'll need to have the A/C recharged with a dye. When the system is turned on the dye should show where the gas is leaking. In my case the leak is at the condensor which, very sadly, resides deep within the dash. To repair it requires removing the dash, replacing the condensor and reinstalling the dash. What this means is a $2000 repair bill and a squeeky, rattly dash. I'm living without A/C. Hopfully for you the leak will be in a more accessible location for a less expensive repair.
