15W50 or 20W50 oil for 2006 and earlier 987 Boxster S?
I have never heard of anyone using this oil - it's usually always 0W40 with some like me running 5W50 during hotter months.
15W50/20W50 is not an oil weight that anyone I know has ever used on these cars? What about winter months in colder areas Colorado - a 15W even worse a 20W would likely cause more damage to the engine every time a cold start in sub-zero temeperatures!
Would love to hear more theory on this advice - if anyone else can chime in and state that these weight oils is absolutely more protective to my 987.1 2005 Boxster S, I'd love to hear the theory!
Thanks
