Need help....
Driving my 2007 Cayman S last week and for some reason I started screwing with the onboard computer......checking fuel etc....then I pushed to many things and now I have a speed set and 58 mph (chime go's off) and every thing is in what looks like Arabic? Read the manual, try to reset or even factory settings and nothing is changing. The language menu does not even appear. This is with car running. any help would be appreciated...Thanks, Mark

I'm going to be honest; when I read this I had the most hilarious image in my head of someone just in utter confusion at what is going on!!
![]() So...we have someone in house with a Cayman and he ran me through the settings to get you back to 'stock'. Let me know if this makes sense and works for you. - Click the stock forward once and select the menu on the left. - Scroll all the way down. - Press once to access new menu - 5th option is Language...press once - 2nd from top should be English...all the languages are in their respective one, so English should be clear. - To reset your limit, click the Stock once and 'Limit' is the first option. - Go to 'Active' and press the Stock forward. This should get you back to 'stock' settings. Hope this helps! -Dmitry |

One minor thing to add to this: (At least on my 2006 Boxster) the settings are Key Dependent. That is, if you use your other key in the ignition, you should be able to see all your old stock settings, and you'll know where to go to re-set the other key.
I learned this when I moved to Germany, and changed the settings to metric. Used the "other key" once, and it was back to the way it was. It took a little experimenting, and I realized that the car was not "resetting" itself, but rather adjusting itself to the appropriate key.

Well tried Don's (other Key).......hallelujah, every thing is back to normal with real English. And Dmitry (Pilican) used your script. Both, thank you very much. Best, Mark
