1998 986 Boxster shifting/ issues with U-Turns/ hard turning. I am having issues with the transmission disengaging to where I can still rev the engine but nothing engages and then all the sudden it feels like something catches and causes the transmission to re-engage and jolt the whole car. I am thinking this maybe due to low-tranny fluid but have not had time to investigate. I notice it happens mainly when turning hard and U-turns. Has anyone else had similar issues? Also I am having hard shifting. Car is automatic with tiptronic. Any advice would be appreciated.

Are there any external leaks? You could have a slip due to low fluid or debris clogging the fluid in pan.

So a 18 year old car. Original motor mounts and transmission mounts perhaps. Rubber deteriorates with time.
