My 2007 cayman 5 speed suddenly developed a rattle in all gears while the wheels are in motion. The rattle goes away when wheels are stopped. There are no unusual sounds from the engine. The rattle appears to be at the end of the trans. Using a stesecope there doesn't appear be be any rattle in the differential. With engine off and jacked up the rattle can be heard by simply rotating the wheels. Any ideas.

I had a similar issue on a car and it ended up being some rubber pieces inside the tires that were coming apart and making the noise... I recommend having the tires dismounted and checked.
