Go to the MTO and start asking questions. Keep going until you get the answer you want and they help you through a process to get the title. Go to a different MTO if you need to. Up here in the hinterland we have a private/satellite/franchise office that is friendlier and more helpful than the main office.
I got a title for a dirtbike without too much issue. The fact that they wont be able to search for history on it (too old) is a good thing. IIRC there is a process by which you sign an affidavit testifying that you are the rightful owner of the car. It would help if you have a bill of sale and can prove you paid $XXX.00 for the car because they are going to want your money for the taxes. The easier you make it for them to do that the better off you'll be.

“Keep asking until you get the answer you want”.... top notch advice right there. Consistency of purpose!

And if you have a serial number, get a COA from Porsche. Service Ontario will be impressed with the certificate and the personal letter addressed to you from the President of Porsche North America. Paper, paper, paper......
