A bit steep compared with 899 USD at Harbour Freight.

Doesn't look like it would be very handy unless your working on the brakes. How do you work under the car?

I bought one of these a while ago:
http://www.hydra-lift.com/lowrise_16&17.html It looks like this in use: As I recall it was about $2500 delivered to my door. Nice guy - he got it off his trailer in my driveway, then we used the roll-around feature of the lift to get it into the garage. If you are on the fence - get one - i use it a lot, way more than I thought when I bought it. I did a bunch of research, and decide on this one because with a couple of little mods, it has a low enough profile that I can park over it without setting it into the floor of using planks (well, at least until my last suspension tweak - I now am about 1/2" too low). I have rolled it out into the driveway and used it there (much to the consternation of my neighbours). This type is great for 911 because you really don't need access to the middle for anything. Access to the front and rear is perfect, and it made getting the engine in and out a breeze. Well, maybe not a breeze, but pretty easy.

I looked at the Hydra lifts too.....
they are really nice. Basically the same idea and price point, I just wanted the ability to lift a little higher.....I believe the other lift will raise to over 40".
I am still on the fence too.....but I know I will use it a lot......if I had it right now, I could be knee deep into a couple of projects I am planning !!!!! Thanks for the post and the comparison.
