Something new this way comes
I will soon be having another "toy" in the stable...
Until it's done I don't want to say too much but it's definitley a different ride for me. My classic will stay, but the new one should be a "boost" for the colder seasons. Stay tuned

Thanks Peter, I am waiting for the dealer to get some "N" spec tires which should be in on Tues., and I should have everything wrapped up by Wednesday.
I am still trying to figure out if I want to ship or not, the bride wants me to go pick it up (B.C.) so there is no chance of damage during shipping, but I'm not sure if I want to put another 700KM on it. Reading some horror stories on Rennlist about Searail; this is who the dealer normally uses; so I've asked if they can find an alternate, otherwise I might be in for a cool road trip (If the dealer would do it on a weekend) I'll figure it out this week.... Once the deed is done I'll post the details and pictures, but I feel like I am jinxing it

Bob,
There are advantages to picking it up yourself...One is piece of mind in the delivery and secondly it gives you some time to get to know her... When I bought the 993, I drove it back from Markham Ontario...It was a fun 2.5 days !!! On my way down to Kelowna in May, I picked up a tail in the form of a Cayenne TT...He was able to stay with me for awhile until I got tired of him and had to leave him behind... ![]() I have driven these on the track and I know how much fun they are...I'm sure you would enjoy the ride home especially through the mountains and overtaking...

Rob,
That's funny, I didn't want to cramp your style. I guess I'm not compensating as much as you...bada-boom ![]() I'm still waiting for the deal to go through. I found out they don't ship via Searail anymore due to issues, and Hansons wants are you sitting down; $4000 to ship from Vic to Calgary. So it looks like it's going on an open trailer. I would go get it myself, but it cost me too much to be away from work. So I'm hoping to see it next friday. The dealer even said take it out and get it detailed and they will pay for it after the haul...true class.

Well, for the price of a Westjet flight into Victoria, two or three tanks of fuel, maybe a few tickets on the way back, $4000 seems cheap!!

Finally, after a painfully long wait (I should have gone to get it) I got my new to me 2005 Cayenne Turbo. Has all the options I was looking for and Speedway Motors in Victoria went above and beyond to hook me up.
They still owe me a key (due to one not working well enough) which will be delivered to the local dealer and a detail, both of which they are paying for. I've only driven it twice tonight but wow what a blast. It reminds me of my old BMW 528i, it's quiet and before you know if your haulin butt. I have to say it moves! both in manual (tip) mode and in auto after a kickdown. My kids like it to so does the wife, can't beat a Porsche family vehicle ![]() ![]() She goes in for a Out of Province tomorrow, then it's all good!

Bob,
That's a nice ride! I'm sure the Mrs. will love it! Drive carefully and have fun! Maybe we should organize a coffee or something and you drive it, I guess some of us have never seen one outside the dealership -Gaspar

Congrats!
Is that an Explorer I see behind it? It looks exactly the same as ours - an 04 Eddie Bauer. Our lease is up at the end of this month - good riddance! Worst car I've ever had, I think. A pig on gas, bounces like a boat and a crappy transmission. What a difference the Cayenne must be!

Whoa slow down guys, I've just had it 1 day
![]() I don't think I'll put too much on it as the stuff is stupid expensive. I did find a chip I might be interested in though - stage one: ECU flash 75HP no CEL, stage 2 with a new intake and exhaust: ECU Flash 125 HP. I'll have to do my research first on the Company (REVO) and I know their are others...right now though I have to learn the truck. It's smokin fast, but deceiving due to it being so quiet inside, look down and your at 180KM. Yes it's my "Family wagon", but I made sure it's got a CPO warranty 'till 2011 or 160 kKM Sure let's have a coffee, but you'll want one (My wife already thinks she needs one) Yes it is a Expedition, it's been a great truck, but sucks gas. Oh well, just kill some more dinosaurs
