What's to do in Toronto?
I'm going up to Toronto on Sunday, have a day off. Staying downtown at the Westin- what's around there?
Thanx! N! |

Steamwhistle Brewery (check out the delivery vehicles out back) and CN tower are close among other things.

Agreed, do the CN tower if your in T.O, great views. When i lived there i would just walk around for hours and hours. Bloor Street has great shopping. The Royal Ontario Museum is a beautiful place as well. All in all, T.O is where the Universe meets! Take your walking shoes!

I would also recommend the Distillery District: The Distillery Historic District

I did the CN tower in 1987, when my parents took me through Toronto en route to Montreal. My mother did me the great dis-service of telling me that I was conceived during a trip by them, living in Detroit....to Montreal. Does that make me Canadian?
Night life? I arrive on Monday, the 13th. N- |

If you are at the Westin downtown you're within walking distance of Chinatown, City Hall, and the Eaton Centre.
You could checkout the Horseshoe Tavern at Queen and Spadina for live bands. King west has alot of restaurants that cater to the theatre/tourist crowds.

Depends on what you like doing.
I'd suggest cabbing it everywhere because it's cold at this time of year. If you're looking for night life head to Queen West (new hipster part of town) between Shaw St. and Dufferin. As mentioned King West is also nice for restaurants but not much going on Monday night there. If you're into steak don't miss Barbarian's steak house at Yonge and Elm. If you're into watching the game and wings check out "Real Sports bar" near the west entrance of the ACC. Have fun! ps. i think Monday is the 14th.

Thanx! Sunday night isn't typically a big party night, but I figured that something was going on. I like to wander down to the city I am in, and just take a beer or three. I played hockey [goalie] as a kid in Michigan, so the change of climate will mean nothing. I have a good parka-

Are you staying at the Westin Harbour Castle? If so, its a 5 minute walk to the Hockey Hall of Fame and just a few more steps gets you to some good restaurants.
Have fun! AM
