I need to stop by your house.
Things seem to get done there.

Lots of projects but no time again this year.

I like the blue car in its current colour. I think I may have mentioned that before....

I need to do a sound pad.
I have a set of SSIs and an M&K single out that need to be installed.
I might have a rocker with too much side play.
I have a few panels that require a little attention paint wise but I don't want to do a full glass out respray.

Tomorrow! Tomorrow!
I love ya, tomorrow.
Your always
A day away....

at least your list seems do-able. and FWIW the only thing that get's done for sure at my house............... is me making a list of things to do. I'm a 'list' guy I've even been known to put something I've already done on a list. just so I can cross it off, makes me feel as if I've accomplished something.

This time I won't procrastinate due to a cold garage.
  • Install new clutch master cylinder.
  • Install new clutch slave cylinder.
  • Install new hydraulic hose at clutch slave cylinder.
  • Disassemble, clean and lubricate pedal assembly.
  • Flush and bleed brakes.
  • Glue sunroof headliner; front - right side.

I believe this is my first winter without a major "to do" list. Plan for simple maintenance and tuck her away for the long sleep.

Going for a drive next weekend to search a couple of B roads for the 2012 CanAm Tour. Hint - CanAm is on the Canadian side for 2012.

Al and I are driving up the canyon on Saturday AM and then towards Kamloops. Overnight in Kamloops and then south on Sunday. We will have our dear wives with us - so need to behave. You are welcome to join the fun.

We have the OK valley mapped out fairly well.

I need to stop talking about it.......giving away too many clues.

My plans are to :
Pull the engine, replace cis airbox.
Fix anything else that I see needs to be done while it's out.
Take out dash and recover somehow- get rid of that plastic cover....
Hopefully replace front struts/rear shocks..Possibly upgrade torsion bars if I can find some...
Drink some beer out in the garage....
and should cover it for now.

Ok, car is officially of the Road for Winter

3) Get replacement Fuchs and polish (dead of winter job) ---nah, Done, Thanks again Don, doesn't it look waaaay better
4) Wheels are off, install Turbo Tie Rods, check bearings, etc--Done

Sorry got carried away, these were to be my winter projects...

So, as of this afternoon I am 30% complete Engine/Tranny Drop so for the real winter projects...

-clean, install any/every seal, gasket, hose on Engine with out a full tear down
-Same with transimission
-sand/finish/Prep replacement rear deck lid
-sand/finish/Prep S Spoiler
-find/purchase/Finish prep period correct rear valance and bumperettes
-Day dream of some other enhancements/purchases
-new rear torsion bar bushings, etc

Talking CanAm already... Can't wait. Again.

Winter projects:
-new ATO fuse panel
-install Becker radio. The existing, though pretty not blingy for anmodern unit, is kinda more so than I would like.
-maybe some other stuff. Custom LED tail lights? Better gauge illumination?

aaahhh..................the good old days. I can still remember when I had that kind of energy and ambition. now it's more a matter of "what's the very least I can do an still drive a decent car next season".

I bought this a few months ago and my winter project will be to get it fully sorted. It is an Intermeccanica and the originally owners are from your neck of the woods. Maybe you recognize it?

No, the Miller family from Whiterock. It was built in 1991 but the tub is from 1980..

Well the garage is not built yet...and even though it will be in a week or 2 it won't be heated this year...so although I have stuff I need to do it will have to wait a bit.

The big thing is some electrical stuff...signal lights...turn them on...headlights go to bright...one side is faster than the other...and the dash indicator light does not go with the flashing...gotta fix that mess.

Need to secure carpets in the cab and in the front trunk.

As far as engine...have an oil leak (SURPRISE!) but it is coming from the return line of the oil cooler...at a join. Should be a simple fix but will do that in the spring when I do oil change and valves.

Other than that...my winter project is to long for spring!

First cleanup and reorganize the shop. I installed a lift this summer, but I can barely walk around the place at the moment, there is so much junk piled up.

1986 911 with 3.6 - Need to do a little body work on the flares, then some paint to fix-up the track rash and put the interior back to street car spec in preparation for selling it next spring (Local track closed, so no more need for a car like this)

1986 944 - Replace Water Pump, and Oil pump on 'new' used engine, and install so my wife quits reminding me that I blew up her car.

1974 914 - Install heater parts, find and fix short that is blowing the dash and rear license plate fuse. Track down and fix hesitation under acceleration. A few other trim fixes. Want to be driving this next summer.
