Insurance. How do people in the city insure their classic car? We spoke to Hagerty but they require us to have each a daily car. We only have one daily driver as, well we live in the city and walk, bike, TTC to where we need to go. The "daily driver" we have is not a daily car for either of us.

Are there other insurance companies except Hagerty that do classics? Or are we forced to a "normal" insurance for our tinker car? Recommendations?

Kind of surprised at that, many toronto couples only have one DD. My bet is you answered a question wrong, said you might take the 911 to work or the store.
Haggerty has a strict pleasure use only policy. They wouldn't insure my '67 VW bus because I said I may take it camping.

Not putting miles on your car is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.

Yes I was surprised too but they were very clear, we both need to have a daily driver to be able to insure the Porsche under Hagerty insurance. That's the reason I'm asking for alternatives. Do you have any to recommend?

Sorry no, likely you'll have to go through a regular insurance policy.
Try Haggerty again in a couple years.

Try the link below. but most of the small companies just go through Haggerty.

Well my immediate problem is now, I am looking for recommendations on an insurance company for my 1974 911, other than Hagerty.

Apart from the insurance I'm ready to drive! Swapped around the wheels so the two 7x16 are in the back and the two 6x16 are in the front... And lowered her an inch or so in the front. Driveway corner balance and wheel alignment next!
