RHD RS carpet sets
Anyone know where to get RS carpet sets in Right Hand Drive?
Tried '911parts' but no joy... |

I bought mine from Pelican I think.
From memory you can specify RHD. Otherwise Appbiz sells them on ebay - again you can specify RHD.

How much do you want to pay?
Appbiz Ebay - Robert Brehears is a good guy. Fit is OK. make sure you ask for vinyl edging otherwise it may come with a machine bound edge. |

Craig from 911 Parts - Performance parts for Porsche 911 may also have some.
He's on here from time to time but has not updated his site for a while - I assume he is still trading. Tim

Thanks guys - I tried 911parts but he said he was having trouble with his supplier and I'd like to get on with stripping out the interior ... I pinged pelican and the short response I got was they had LHD only. The appbiz stuff looks pretty good.
Forgive my ignorance, but what's the (practical) diff between vinyl and machine bound edging? His ebay listing says perimeter binding? |

machine bound is where the edges are finished with a thread as opposed to OEM finish which uses a vinyl edge.
Both are OK, one is not original - not an issue it you are not into uber originality. I think Appbiz RS set comes vinyl edged. Again comes down to how much you want to pay. Pay more carpet quality a fit and finish should be better. Domestic versus german carpet kits - no direct experience. |
