LBJ to the Lakers
What kind of head-butting with LaVar Ball do you think can be expected?

It will be interesting to see if he can continue his string of Finals appearances. There's a lot of tough competition in the West.

All the way with LBJ. It’s an interesting choice. The Lakers don’t offer much of a supporting cast and he’s not as likely to win a championship in LA as he is with other franchises unless he believes the Lakers are on the cusp of finding new talent. As for young Mr. ball, he will either grow up quickly and learn some respect or he will soon find himself playing in Eastern Europe and proclaiming on social media that the former Soviet Union has the most competitive leagues in the world and overshadow the NBA.

An appearance in the finals is not likely next year. The Warriors and the Rockets will both be better teams. I read that Ball is not likely to stay because James can't stand the father.

I would imagine. James is a gentleman all the way and Ball, (the father), is a class A jerk-off.

I'm conflicted.
The Lakers have been my favorite NBA team forever, but LBJ is one of my least favorite players. Will be interesting to see how Luke coaches the new guy.

Nuthin' against LBJ...but if I was a b-ball fan on the west coach watching another NBA team fixin' to be built around a superstar....I'd watch the Kings. As a GM, I'd take their new draft pick from Duke over LBJ...it's in his genes and heart
. I've seen some great ones play as teens....he's the real deal...Marvin Bagley III ![]() I watched his grandfather play back in the ABA....a b-ball fan all my life, but I only watch a handful of games each year now... |

Los Angeles was already bad enough without him, just more Cleveland trash.

I'm not much of an NBA fan, think everybody in Cleveland will burn his jerseys again? I still don't think they have enough to beat Golden State.

That's funny...I know a guy in Cleveland who says just that..burning a Jersey.

Mr James is all about getting paid, hence the trip to LA. He won't make the finals this year, may not make it again. Even with him on the team, they are still second tier in the West.

You can bet he was promised a title contending "supporting cast". You can bank on the Lakers making some noise with some trades to upgrade the talent around James. He carried Cleveland and I see no reason he couldn't do the same with the Lakers.

Supporting cast...who needs 'em...other than to just keep feeding the ball back to LeBron? I believe James is of the opinion that he could simply grab four guys out of the stands and field a viable team. He's never really been much of a team player...it's always all about him.
LeBron don't need no stinkin' coach. He'll likely make Walton do it his way anyhow. And as a side note, the Warrior's JaValle McGee is reported to be leaving Golden State to join LeBron on the Lakers.

I'm just disappointed we weren't treated to another edge of our seat "The Decision".....

Not to a championship...not without a better player on his team than he is. Two of LBJ's rings are due to Dwayne Wade and Kyrie Irving...they WERE the go to guys on those championship teams when it really counted....jmho. He's simply not the best when it matters the most....often disappears in fact.

I would argue there is no player on any team currently that is better than James. |

Quote:
. B-ball is a team sport....there are several players better than LBJ because of that very reason...hard to explain...it's an intangible that LBJ simply lacks. D. Wade was absolutely the MAN for LBJ's first ring...I don't know what team you were watching ....same with K. Irving
