Learning Spanish

When I was younger I had a type I liked to date. That type would end up being Puerto Rican or Cuban type of ladies.

Sadly, I am as white bread as they come and, as a Cuban friend once told me years later, white boys are not equipped mentally to date Cuban girls. It takes a special kind of guy, and embarrassingly, the young version of me was not that type of guy. Of course, I had to learn myself the hard way,

I tried though, even to the demise of my mental well being.


Mrs5543, when I met her at a party I fell in love with her, then I got scared, her best friend as the time was Puerto Rican and though association I assumed she was too. Therefore I was prepared to run away. I had just broken up with a Puerto Rican girl a month earlier and I was not ready to take that ride again. It would turn out she was Italian and Portuguese. A delightful combo IMHO, give it a try if you have the chance. I did and ended up marrying the girl I met at a party.

I said all that to say this, learning Spanish can open up an entire new dating pool that is very fun, if you like wild mentally exhausting relationships.
