That first one - the '83 VF750 looks nice and original. Low miles too.

But no - I hear ya, Rick.

No sense in risking life and limb at your age!

Thanks Baz, like most of us need help shopping for more motorcycles. My plan is a faster one every 5 years.

Hey check out how nice these side fairings are from my Euro VF750......nothing broken!

At least one of these is going to need coating inside. I ordered the Caswell epoxy product today.....

I went and did a thing today...

Stopped by the local dealer to look at the 1250GS. Found this one with Rally Package, premium package, lights package, enduro package etc, etc. with $500 rebate, $1000 worth of accessories or parts included and 0% financing! Didn't take much to twist my arm.

So, I'll ride the 14' up there tomorrow and trade her in.

Well done! I figure the 1250 GS will keep dropping in price as the 1300 GS is the latest. I love the paint, rims, damn your entire bike is AWESOME! Ride safe and often!

And...I like the 1250 style a little better than the 1300. Yup, I'm weird that way, lol.

BTW, I find the 1300s fugly and will never own one unless there comes along a good aftermarket headlight replacement. That little X is just ridiculous. But I also can't think of any area where the 1250s are lacking, so also no need to upgrade.

Congrats. Great looking bike. I tossed around getting a new 1250, but after touring on one for a month in Europe, I decided there really was no reason to get rid of my LC 1200. The 1250 is a little snappier, but just to similiar to change. I'm really thinking about adding a Ducati Pikes Peak Multistrada.

I agree with Rick, the 1300 just hasn't grown on me looks wise, but I'm looking forward to riding one.

Scored a Honda shop manual for my '83 VF750F from eBay. Has the service bulletins in back and comes with the nice 3 ring binder. Love the grease smudges on many of the pages!

I also have them coming for my other 2 Interceptor models. The illustrations alone in these are well worth the purchase. So much better than Haynes or Clymer.

Heads up for anyone near Portland.......

1989 Honda VTR 250 Interceptor - $350 (Dundee)

https://portland.craigslist.org/nco/mpo/d/dundee-1989-honda-vtr-250-interceptor/7702709200.html

Up for sale is a RUNNING project bike I got a few years back. I was planning on using the motor for a Frankenstein dirt bike-thing I wanted to do. The Honda VTR250 is a 90° V-twin motorcycle and is the little brother (perhaps cousin) to the GT650 Hawk, VFR750 and VFR1100. It has 14000 miles on the clock and, from what I remember, it was a bulletproof and high revving little rocket back in the day. Bill of sale only, no title. Thanks for looking!
