When I got into Mountain biking several years ago I pretty much quit riding my motorcycles. Sold my KTM 690 and my R1200GS. It has been a few years since I have been riding, but after seeing a friends pictures from a recent Adventure trip, I got the itch for another dual sport motorcycle, so I bought this Tenere last week.

Took it to the Ouachita National Forest for some break in miles Sunday.

Nice T7! They are hard to find around my neck of the woods.

Yup, I got lucky, Local dealer had one earmarked for his service guy... His wife's car died and he had to replace it, so he has to wait to buy a Moto... I was in the right place at the right time.

Great looking bike, Bill. Congrats!

It's funny you should post this because I always thought if I ever decided to whittle down to just one bike, it would be an ENDURO.....like your T7 there.

I call them Enduros but isn't a "dual-sport" the same thing? Or an "adventure bike"?

They're a lot of fun, regardless!

Banner day today. Thought I'd be doing a carb rebuild and replacing a valve stem on my RC36 but instead was able to get her started OK and she ran just fine. After that I was able to inflate the front tire too, so for now anyway not worried about the stem.

Got her off the lift and rode her over to my storage unit where she'll reside with some of my others until I get more stuff done on the ones still at my place.

I still have 3 more Interceptors here at my house to get running. Two '87 RC26's and the '83 Euro VF750 with the gold wheels.

This RC36 is WICKED FAST!

I left the lower fairings off for now....

Happy Friday, everyone!

Going to start work on this baby starting tomorrow. Don't know exactly what I'm in for yet. Hopefully just the basic stuff. Overall she's actually in very good condition!

I will start with complete brake and clutch systems service, complete fuel system service, and the stuff you do when an engine hasn't been run in a while.

Feels good to finally have her up on the lift!

This is the one I brought home on Thanksgiving day from Daytona via a CL ad. Seller said it hasn't been run in 3 years.

Thank you, Rick. For a 40 year old machine, she's in pretty good nick!

Ha - well I will keep your spirit close to my heart tomorrow, Scott, while I work on her!

Little trivia......this little V-Four emblem only came on the Euro versions.
