Yesterday, I bought this 1969 R60/2 off my Nextdoor neighbor. He’s owned it since 1976 so I am honored that he has entrusted me to be its next guardian. Mine is nowhere near as beautiful as yours Mike. I love that cream color.

Congrats Yorkie. Lots of fun ahead…both tinkering and riding. Kudos.
Consider getting the Barrington Motor Works manual ($$$) but worth it. There's a Clymer manual also that is pretty helpful. Lastly, join this forum: https://vintagebmw.org/forum/ Not much you can't do yourself with those resources.

Ha - not at thgis time but thanks, Shaun.
When I post classifieds here, it's as a courtesy for other enthusiasts who might be interested. Trying to pay it forward.....because I bought my 356 back in '05, after someone on the 356 list-serve posted a heads up on the eBay listing. I also should say - in my opinion - you're usually paying more when you buy from a B.a.T. auction. No sniping allowed and no BIN feature. Otherwise the abundance of images is a positive and I enjoy seeing what the market will bring.

New bike day. Just picked up this 2012 Road King. 15k miles, I paid $8500, bone stock. I had a fuel injected 2006 88ci before this. Frame definitely feels stiffer than the 2006. Engine is really smooth. The heat from the engine is definitely more than the 88. Only plans are for some slip ons, leaning towards Tabs pipes with their medium inserts. I was planning to ditch these wheels for stock so I can run tubeless tires, but they look really nice in person, so not sure on that. I'm a happy boy tonight.

The only thing that stops me is the weight of these bikes. I sold my Lowrider a couple of years ago and a Road King is at least 100 pounds heavier. And I’m not getting any younger.
