Hey Mods - Can you give us a Dark Theme/Skin?

Something with less white on the pages? It might help some of the late night Pelicans with their "better halves".

Thanks!

Doesn’t your device have a brightness control?

On lowest setting an all white screen is still crazy bright in a blacked out room. (for those of us that wake up at 3am and still want to give sleep a shot after 30 minutes of browsing)

Yes, of course. But do you honestly think the developers of Chrome, Google, Firefox, DuckDuckGo etc. don't realize this too? Because all of these web pages/browsers have dark theme option or add-on.

Isn't that bit like saying I'm making better food choices because these brownies I'm eating don't have chocolate chips on them?

I know you know screens are a significant hindrance to obtaining deep sleep, but if you must you could always enable red tint on your device.

That describes me. Turning the brightness down and the color toward “warm” on my iPad is sufficient for me. I didn’t realize I was such an outlier.

my cheapo Amazon Fire 10 has what they call "BlueShade" . You set the color and brightness you want for night time then whenever you touch the icon at the top of the screen it automatically sets your display to those settings. To return to normal just again tap the icon.. works great.

Install F.lux It changes the color profile and brightness of the screen depending on time of day...

For PC, tablets etc....

Justgetflux.com/

FWIW My Pixel phone has something similar inbuilt (android 9.0)

Yeah, I have f.lux on my PC, and I installed it on the wife's laptop. I also set up the night mode thing on both of our phones and my ipad (does the same thing as f.lux and can either do it on a schedule or based on sunrise/sunset times for your location).

Even with that, a dark theme

is going to be quite a bit darker than a "night mode" on a page with a bright white background

It's only the outdoor pics that are too bright.

Yes please, "Dark" or "Black" theme since reading mode in my browser ruins the functionality of the forum. Plenty of customizable options here: https://themeforest.net/category/forums/vbulletin

If you go to accessibility shortcut, you can set it for a red screen or invert the colors with three clicks of the home button. The inverted color isn’t perfect like a dark skin but is similar.

Edit...screen capture doesn’t work with the red or inverted colors.

I do the same. Works great, less filling.
