I've been retired nearly seven years and I still have that dream about once a month.

I consider myself very fortunate to have lived through the era when music was being made like this:

I'll never understand Bodhisattva but it's still a cool song.

Retired 6 years and still play golf almost every day without pain. Some of the grandkids were here over Thanksgiving. Heard the 17 year old grandson in the other room tell one of his siblings, "I want to be retired but I don't want to be old."

I was saving that one but yeah that is huuge. When I was a teen, I would ridicule my dad because he dressed so out of fashion. "Hey dad, that suit is so 1960. C'mon and step up. This is the 70's" He would just smile and say he didn't care what other people liked or didn't like. He wore what he liked. I understand this now. Genius! I have my bride and don't need to look hot to other women. I don't care if you don't like what I wear...

Another good one!
I grew up with Classic Rock. The Who, Dead, Zeppelin, Tull, Dan, Beatles... The list goes on and on.

Having more money coming in each month than I ever had before. We have a joint account and I have my "man" account for things I want, and it's nice to go into a store and say yes I'll take it. I feel a lot more comfortable today. And Hugh, I too have dreamed that I'm working, and then I wake up and have a Great day.

Was thinking about this thread today after my earlier post and this popped into my head.....

I could drop dead in the next minute and it wouldn't matter because I've had an incredible life and lived through the best cultural era the planet will ever experience.....

Last year I retired at age 60 , been married to the same woman for 40 years . We have two adult sons that are self sufficient and assets to society vs. drains on society . We have three wonderful grandchildren . Our house and cars are paid for we have no debt . We both have pensions with SS in a few years plus a nice sized nest egg . We are very , very happy .

Reading glasses. My wife looks twenty years younger when I remove them. That said, at 61, she's still like Stacy's mom to me.
