Best part for me is, never having to set the alarm clock. I "try" to be up by 830 very day.

KFC911 12-12-2018 05:28 AM

You've avoided the alternative ;)

There you go! Rev them up. Feed them stuff you didn't allow as a parent. Send them home. Done.

My wife and I both have lifetime passes to the National Park system. All the parks, for the rest of our lives, and it cost a whopping $10 each.

You must have bought your Golden Age passes some years ago. I bought mine decades ago for $10. At the time I thought it was something I wouldn't use much but it has paid for itself many, many times over. I understand they're $80 now.

Unless you and the wife go to separate parks without each other there was no need to have bought two passes. Only one person in the car/van/truck/camper/motorhome needs a pass.

The el-cheapo Lifetime Geezer-Geyser passes ended last year. I made it just under the wire.

So I’ll prolly croak soon.

+1 more for the occasional nightmare of still being on the job.
WTF I am seven years retired.
What's good about it?
Was able to it before 60.
More money than I have ever had. No FU money put can buy most anything I want within reason.
I feel great...no meds...workout regularly.
The satisfaction of knowing the wife and family are taken care of if I it get hit by a bus.
In general life is good at this age in my mind I feel I am 40 till I look in the mirror.

Yea, we were willing to spend the big bucks and risk wasting 10 bucks. I keep my pass in the 911 glove box. My wife keeps hers in her suitcase.

You do realize Tenbucks is 1,000 pennies-which add up.

Good planning on the wife to keep a suitcase packed.

You never know.

When I cut or bang up myself, it doesn’t hurt as bad. Also feel less anxious.

Not having to commute when the weather turns it into a slog.

Not having to commute at all.
Well my commute is 14 steps down that hall from the bedroom where I kiss my wife goodby, and walk the 14 steps "off to work." This morning was different, she got up early because the two ladies that clean the house are coming. She was in the hall, and the dog are always at her feet since she was close to the treat storage area. It was heavy traffic for me this morning, a wife and two dogs in the hall. Phew.

.....happy second marriage with a younger wife whose appetite for life is higher than mine, who motivates me to try things, with some specific things requiring multiple and frequent attempts.....

Thank God for Cialis.....whew!
