The Rams had bad juju going into the big game...thats enough to put them behind the 8 ball...a shadow cast over them.

So you just knew the Pats would win in what amounts to a yawn fest.

I watched the entire game , while a defensive battle is not the most exciting I still was shaking my head at how good the Pats defense played against the supposed high powered Rams offense . Coach B love em or hate em can come up with great strategy/schemes in the big games . I told my wife at halftime that the Rams D is spending too much time on the field and will be gassed in the 2nd half . Edelman is a beast how did the Rams not make adjustments to cover him ???

Gurley a non factor for whatever reason he just didn't show up . Goff was hurried the entire game and he was flustered early on and never recovered . Brady was taking heat also but showed once again that he's a pro . Pats offensive line overall did a great job and made few mistakes . And that's how they won the game .

Gladys Knight ......... WOW for 74 years old looked great and sounded amazing she showed why she is a legend in that industry . I hope all the hookers and strippers that flooded Atlanta make it home safely The half time show was a joke .......... glad I have hockey to watch !

Serious question: I'm not a football strategist by any stretch of the imagination, but WTF was the logic behind trying a field goal when you're down by 7 and so little time left in the game?

If you look at the game stats, Michel had the quietest 94 yard rushing game I think I've seen in a while. Then look at the big two, Gronk and Edelman (87 and 141 yards) The Patriots key players stepped up and that was the difference. Cooks for the Rams had 120 but I think he dropped two TD passes that you simply have to make in a game like this. Gurley never got into any rhythm. I don't know if it was an injury or what but they just never got him into the game.

They needed two scores. Thought would be get the score and hope for the best on an onside kick. (weren't they down by 10 at that point in the game??)

Boring game and halftime.
After watching all of it I feel better about watching another F1 season.

make it then an offside kick with a fumble recovery run back for TD.

As mentioned, 2 possession game. They needed field goal plus touchdown and point after to tie.

If you are in field goal range you take the shot because you don’t know if you’ll get back in range if you recover the onside kick.

With the time left the only realistic option for the 2nd score would have been a Hail Mary

They were down by 10 and needed two scores to tie, a touchdown and a field goal. They had one play left in the series of downs. They had two choices, try for a touchdown first, or try for a field goal first. There is was a higher percentage chance of them getting the field goal than the touchdown.

If they make the field goal they can try for a miracle - an onside kick and then a 50or 60 yard hail mary pass for the tying touchdown.

If they go for the touchdown and don't make it, game over. If they go for it and get a touchdown, then they have to try an onside kick and THEN kick a 50 or 60 yard field goal. Making a 60 yard field goal takes more than a miracle. So the decision was a no brainer.

I'd give half my foot to make an over 60 yard field goal.

Oh good lord. When the eff did everyone get so GD negative. Bunch of whiney arse britches.

They make all sorts of unbelievable movies. Vampires, zombies, robots, space wars, cars that never dent, guns that never need reloading, entire planets full of good looking people (except one chubby witty comic sidekick), movies with smart capable presidents that get along with Congress,

They are movies, not documentaries.

And the super bowl was still pretty entertaining. I spent it in Fontana. Watched the game with a few new lady friends. They drank my ass under the table. The nachos were decent. Good IPA. Place was called Rowdy’s

Agree with Cabmando. The Rams D worked overtime. They had the shortest rest sessions. They played very well. They kept the scoring to a minimum.

I appreciated the game. Way better than a blow out. It was like soccer. (In green)

That's what I was thinking too Vash. Lots of mid field play and adjustments and little scoring. And like soccer, most of the game took place in the looser's end of the field.

As you said, the Rams D kept it from being a run away.

Cheers Richard

I haven't watched the new Star Wars stuff, but I hear "droid rights" have become a big thing for the franchise under Disney.

Rights for cell phones are our next big cause I guess.
