I replaced the rear shocks on my 2004 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner yesterday morning. It was actually a very easy job. I'll replace the front struts next week when I receive the front left on from UPS.

Took my time on the next one and cut back the wire to a clean area, cleaned the element plug really well, and made damn sure it was a good crimp. Holding so far but I’m not confident. Looking online this appears to be a super common issue, if it happens again I’ll increase the wire gauge which is a popular fix.
Assume you're using high temp spade connectors? They make specific ones for high temp applications, rated to 900f. Supco on Amazon.
