If I'm being honest, I don't know what I'm saying, ha ha! I started looking at lap times and I found those to be pretty interesting.

As ugly as they are, those F1 cars are really good at going really quick around a race track.

I'm surprised to hear that. Sure Tracy was a nut behind the wheel, but he was a great driver, and has turned out to be a terrific commentator, IMO. Every time I listen to him, I learn new stuff.

I think Indycar is the best racing out there by far. Beautiful cars, interesting tracks, and amazing drivers. There's more passing in a drag race than the typical F1 race.

Great fun to watch, kept my attention all the way through. Some great battles and daring moves, everything F1 doesn’t have

It was a great race in person. We debated going all weekend and then made the call Sunday morning. We didn't get to the race til about lap 25 due to a quick 911 CV joint repair on the side of the road, but what we did see was awesome.

Considering the parking and ticket cost compared to F1, I think it was a great deal. Plus it was a much smaller crowd than F1 so much easier to get around.

Lap times? Still more exciting racing than F-1, where the big drama is guessing which Mercedes driver was chosen to win.

We're not that hardcore, it was just the CV bolts that backed out. Luckily we had tools with us since we'd been out at a rally all weekend.

Same, been an F1 fan for >30 years, and I enjoy Indycar almost as much now, based on less ovals, more drivers I care about, good looking cars and incredible wheel to wheel passing...
I'd love to see what a Will power could do in F1, or Alonso in Indy ( I was hoping for a full season).

I just wish Indycar had a little less gimmicky racing, the red flags on qualifying killed the race 2 weekends in a row now, the yellows are being thrown a little too casually... I mean it can be fun to bring the field together, but I hate seeing a driver pull a lead and see it wiped out. F1 can be boring in ints predictability, Indy can be annoying it its unfairness sometimes...

Probably a lot better than Juan Pablo Montoya. And he did pretty well.

Yup. Seeing as Indy now has two Swedes and F1 none I am from now on going to watch that instead. Never watched Indy before. Surprisingly entertaining racing. At least compared to the snooze-fest F1 turned into.

Yellows mostly. In the past I’ve seen races with questionable yellows to bunch up the field...
This time specifically - pretty much verbatim what Will power said when interviewed. The yellows and pit closing rule is a lottery. This one made sense for a change but it’s still a gamble on pits. The best drivers get hung out to dry. Same with red flags in qualifying. Complete BS 2 weeks in a row - resume running - why not? . I wish Indy would sort of run events with F1 like rules - it’d still be cool and more fair. You never see Hamilton and Vettel go first to last because of a yellow like just happened to Rossi and Power.

Seems to me someone hit the wall at pit entrance to close the pits and cause a yellow? Will power said that the yellow didn't cost them the race, the blown half shaft did.

Yes, in this particular case - no argument.

But to me Indycar is too quick to throw yellows and bunch up the field "for the show". And killing qualifying with a red instead of restarting it robbed us of a true order - These teams are so close compared to F1 we don't need gimmicks. Rossi did not blow a half shaft and he was 2nd, on merit... If you have watched Indy for decades and can tell me they don't abuse yellows vs F1, and generate artificial bunching of the field for the show, and ruin the work of leaders, then OK, I got nothing...

He might have lost it to the driveshaft, but his statement on indycar and yellow/closed pits was *scathing* and I was in complete agreement.

I really like Indy, I wish the rules were less lottery prone, that's all. If you disagree, that's cool too.
Everyone is praising Colton Herta but had he pitted with Power and Rossi he would have finished 18th. Meh, whatever... Fun race.
