So I went to You Tube for Wills comments, he doesn't like that the series closes the pits for yellows for a lap or two .
1. He was getting very close to the wrong end of his pit window 2. He spun the half shaft 3. Car blocking pit lane 4. he is a chap ass- ( that's ok I think drivers should have an edge) 5. It comes down to the rules are the same for all and bad luck. NASCAR yellows are a joke, I am beginning to not like IMSA'S, Indy doesn't bother me, F1 doesn't have any because nothing happens on track, the engineer just says box box then they blame it on anything but the drivetrain. Thank you for the polite exchange of opinions , rare to find in todays world! |
Yeah, that yellow was totally legit, as was closing the pits during it. Powers and Rossi were well aware that they were in the danger.
IndyCar typically has a few races every season that have no yellows. So does F1. I don't think that NASCAR or IMSA ever have a race without a yellow. |
I have to agree with legion, The yellows were all legit. They did all come out at the worst possible times, but they were all legit. The first one came out with 3minutes and change left in the first group. The second one with less than a minute left. I guess from the point of view of someone watching on TV it might seem gimmicky. But overall it was one of the best race weekends I've seen in a while. Saturday's Indy Lite race had some great mid-pack racing as did the MX5 race. I guess you just had to bee there. The only thing I didn't like were the Stadium Trucks. Not a fan.
