Sorry, I should not have taken that bait. :)

javadog 04-08-2025 09:35 AM

We forgive you.

Those of you that liked Bosch and haven’t watched Goliath should probably look that one up.

On Amazon prime, probably other places.

Chit. Wrong preposition.

Not that I normally keep track of these things but Jesus, what a schit-for-brains review of the characters.

I guess reading comprehension is not your strong suit.
Go back and read it again.
Or keep making a fool of yourself. Either way.

I realize that is a lot to ask of some people so I'll help you with the big words

Was it my imagination or did Maggie Q poke her head into an episode? Did I dream it?

Last Ep is 100% with Maggie Q, damn she is skinny !

That last episodes seemed a bit rushed and the last one in particular was disappointing to me, 2 quick wrap ups in succession but at least the next to last was decent... the final episode though seemed like it should have been drawn out to 2 or 3 to build up some Bosch Ballard connection a bit slower and maybe build up the story some more. Long case that seemed solved in 30 minutes... Bummer, it's over... I will probably start back at S1 again at some point, too soon now ( still remember too much to enjoy it)

javadog 04-18-2025 06:46 AM

That’s pretty much the take I had on it, too.

Not impressed with the Ballard character. Will miss the show.

vash 04-19-2025 04:18 AM

I assume Ballard is going after the Councilman. (and I have always thought Q was smoking hot. if I had a type....)

the last episode was wrapped up fast and tidy. medium good, but still better than I could ever write the story. thanks to the network for giving us Bosch. awesome character.

and now I can cancel Prime..hahah. maintaining and financing all the various streaming services is getting out of hand!!

Baz 04-23-2025 08:26 PM

Just finished. Awesome!

What's next? :)

Steve Carlton 04-23-2025 08:56 PM

Season 2 of The Station Agent. Or, rewatch season 1, then watch season 2.

I'm going to watch the Nikita series, which starred Maggie Q. I watched La Femme Nikita (1990), which I thought was excellent, and enjoyed the decent Bridget Fonda Americanized version Point of No Return (1993), but never watched either series.

serene911 05-29-2025 03:26 PM

The series is great. I started waching it a few weeks ago. I'm at the end of the first
season. It's on Amazon Prime

Deschodt 07-11-2025 01:31 PM

Ballard anyone ?

I didn't like it quite as much as Bosch. But binged it all the same this week, same city, similar stories, some characters from Bosch visiting... it's not bad... Bosch features towards the end, weird new haircut, don't like the car salesman look but good to see some interconnection.. I hope for more of it (the Bosch contents). Maggie Q is alright - did not read the books for Ballard so maybe the Ballard character is a little more subdued and she's playing it perfectly, no idea... Worth a watch.

vash 07-11-2025 02:13 PM

Maggie Q has the best "Strut" of all-time. her in her heels: just bam bam bam...best walk of all time.

I havent watched Ballard yet. we paused Amazon Prime.

I am however, about to start the books. from book #1. the Dead Poet or something. I reserved it thru my library. I was stunned to see Mickey Haller is a character out of the same series. never realized that. the Lincoln Lawyer!!

javadog 07-11-2025 02:28 PM

Mickey is Bosch’s half brother.

First book in the series is The Black Echo.

Enjoy, I’ve read the whole series more than once.

Steve Carlton 07-11-2025 02:30 PM

Mickey lives in a house that is super similar to Bosch's, but on the other side of town or something. Bosch's house was paid for by his consulting on The Black Echo, which was a case he solved. Named after Connolly's first book, as mentioned by coffee bean.

I just finished binging it. I thought it was pretty good, gradually built up steam throughout the season. Got pretty good in the final 4-5 episodes. Maggie wasn't as good as I was hoping for, but overall a good watch with the feel of a Connelly story. The supporting cast wasn't as good as Bosch, either, except John Carroll Lynch as Laffont. Clearly set up for a season 2, which I'm sure will get approved.

An interesting after series interview.

That was great.

Looks like Titus will be part of The Westies, which should come out next year.
