Prior to the election Trump was rated the least liked candidate to ever run for the office of the Presidency. Hillary was also immensely disliked, just about tied on the dislike scale. Yet Trump smartly made himself less loathed in some key States. Whereas Hillary said, coal? forget that you deplorable hillbillies.

POS, POS, FOS ;)

It's not just about T either....his policies SUCK more than he does :(.

Just don't like the lyin' POS....just like HRC, RMN, et al.

Really?

Seems to me that Raw is cool with me, and I'm cool with him.

Also seems that you are the only one getting wrinkled over the audacity of a President to choose a rather simple paint scheme for future govt jets.

Do you have control issues?

is that it?

KFC911 06-17-2019 08:20 AM

Yeo.....bichez!

Get yer TDS cap back to PARF :)

You funny....

Some people look at facts, details, results.

Others are motivated only by emotions.
They embrace any and all rhetoric that supports their emotion and reject any facts, details or reality that might contradict it.

Assuming all emotions are set aside fer a sec, it'll be clear that I posted nothing about politics. That was U.

I made a comment about human nature and provided a couple pics of airplanes that show their paint color scheme as debated previously in this thread.

Some folks like following rules and some get emotional about it ;)

oldE 06-17-2019 12:10 PM

At the risk of inflaming tempers, I am asking :
Why would the president be bothered to announce the color scheme of airplanes which will not be seen for a few years? Is it really that big of a deal?
(Apparently it is to some around here,) but I would think the undersecretary of infrastructure or whatever would be the go to person for such a thing. It is just a paint scheme for government aircraft.

Sorry if I'm stirring up stuff with my lack of understanding.
Best
Les

He'll be changing the color of the "white" house next, and when he names himself emporer he'll move everything to one of his resorts.

I'm moving to Canada, ....oh ..wait never mind.

Note to Les, help.

sammyg2 06-17-2019 12:22 PM

The emotional mind is terrible thing. Please donate to help us get rid of it in our lifetime!!

island911 06-17-2019 12:23 PM

Because Trump likes watching Liberal heads explode over nothing?

If it is that, I'm not sure who is more to blame; Trolling Trump, or the people so preoccupied with parading their anti-anything Trump meme that they so easily trigger in to their substance-barren do-loop of Orange man bad hatred.

meh, both sides seem to enjoy the exchange. ..for different reasons.

I'm guessing it would be bad, if Trump painted it Orange.

although, orange lights... That would be fun. Right? Just like the trolling rainbow lights?

Nancy Reagan did interior design work for the current AF1.

We went from buying newly made 747-8's to buying 747-8's built for a customer that didn't pay.

The shape of the 747-8 is not the same as the 747, a new paint design is needed to accommodate the new shape.

Having a plane the color of the flag is not a terrible thing.

Guilty....My liberal buttons were pushed....so I said take this TS to PARF about 3-4 pages back....makes me call folks bichez a lot too ;)

It's not about politics with me either....I feel the same way about T that I, you and Island did a few years back.

I'm still the same liberal I've always been by PARF standards I reckon....but so is T :(.

We all know where to find PARF....

I've thought about T more by posting in this thread than I usually do in a month.....ya'll just suck ;)!

Can I tell ya about my "new" religion....see ya over there :)!

I was gonna say you could ask JFK that question when he made a really big deal of the new paint scheme, but he's daid.

Under John F. Kennedy, presidential air travel entered the jet age.[18] He had used the Eisenhower-era jets for trips to Canada, France, Austria, and the United Kingdom.[19] Then in October 1962, the U.S. Air Force purchased a Boeing C-137 Stratoliner, a modified long-range Boeing 707—Special Air Mission (SAM) 26000.[20]

The Air Force had designed a special presidential livery in red and metallic gold, with the nation's name in block letters. Kennedy felt the aircraft appeared too regal, and, on advice from his wife, First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, he contacted the French-born American industrial designer Raymond Loewy for help in designing a new livery and interiors for the VC-137 jet.[2] Loewy met with the president, and his earliest research on the project took him to the National Archives, where he looked at the first printed copy of the United States Declaration of Independence; he saw the country's name set widely spaced and in upper case in Caslon typeface. He chose to expose the polished aluminum fuselage on the bottom side and used two blues – slate-blue associated with the early republic and the presidency and a more contemporary cyan to represent the present and future. The presidential seal was added to both sides of the fuselage near the nose, a large American flag was painted on the tail, and the sides of the aircraft read "United States of America" in all capital letters. Loewy's work won immediate praise from the president and the press. The VC-137 markings were adapted for the larger VC-25A when it entered service in 1990.[21]

From Jimmy Kimmel show. Guessing they doctored it somehow.

I do like the genuine idea.
