One of the people writing an article or book on or with Trump years ago, was following him around daily and said from what he could tell Trump spent most of his time selecting swatches of material for the interior finishes of his hotels and casinos. Reports of his daughter doing much the same for other branded/licensed projects around the world indicate this is the "added value" of the Trump name - the look.

Just think how much added value Air Force One will have now that it's been Trumpized.

In my opinion, do NOT change a good thing just to appease the ego of the temporary resident of the White House so that this plane looks like his campaign trail airplane.

All he did was flip the colors 180 degrees, it's so transparent that it's laughable.

I think the flag on the vertical stabilizer should have been inverted while they were at it.

Are you colorblind? His jets are painted BLACK and red and white, not blue and red and white.

I looked at a lot of photos, I still see it as a navy color similar to the US Flag.

Look at the upside down picture again, the man's arms and legs are black, tail part of engines, and so are the aircraft tires black. The upper part of the aircraft body isn't black.

That the guy has torn himself away from twitter and Fox to tackle it shows us how important this is!! :rolleyes:

I say paint it the US racing colors: white with blue strips.

The upper surface is black. Since you’re an architect, I would expect you to know that photographing the upper half of a highly polished black cylinder from below the midpoint would reflect the color of the sky.

All of Trump’s aircraft are the same colors, including the helicopters. If you don’t believe me, check it out in person. The 757 is generally parked at Stewart airport in New York.

There are many different hues of black, anyone that's selected colors knows this.

There are warm blacks that have a little red in them, and cool blacks that have some blue in them.

A cool black will look a little blue when next to a true black.

You can call it a dark blue or a cool black, the true color does not matter as much as the lighting conditions it will be viewed under. When picking out colors like I have for +100 retail spaces I can tell you this is a consideration.

If I pick out a black and it looks like a dark sepia brown near warm florescent lighting no client wants to hear that it looked black at my office.

Nope, that cool black was selected to look like Navy under those outdoor conditions, it was purposeful I suspect. If not, then it's a heck of a coincidence.

RECAP: It does not matter what color you call it, it matters what it looks like.

People that pick out colors because they like the name over what it looks like are misguided in my opinion. Paint companies do spend a lot of money naming their colors for a reason, and for good reason.

I would rather choose a color called "buttermilk" than a color called "milk gone bad", I'm only human.
