So, I went to my usual coffee shop this morning and it was closed because the A/C stopped working. This actually happened several days ago and they have been using large portable units. This was the temperature at the time, with low humidity and a slight breeze. People are a little spoiled here when it comes to climate.

Your highs are our lows, here in the hell hole known as Fort Worth, TexASS. Last night at about 2:30AM it was still 85 degrees and grossly humid, and that shiit continues for months and months this time of year.

What a turnaround here! After a stretch of 100+ days a front blew through (broken limbs and downed trees) with rain and clouds most of the day. I don't think it ever reached 80 today.

Boy, you got that right. While the NEWS has been reporting record-breaking heat all week, today's high on the north end of Monterey Bay was 72°, with clear blue skies and a nice gentle breeze coming in off the water. Doesn't get much better than that...

Dang 81 and low humidity is a joy!

We have had 90 + and very high humidity for several days now. I’m tired of it for sure! Humidity just kills the fun of being outside.

The thing about really horrible climate in either direction is that it just kills the chance of any kind of enjoyable lifestyle because no one wants to leave their house when it's -30 or 110 deg outside. I just really can't imagine what would entice anyone to live in a place like Phoenix...a free house wouldn't do it for me. I'd rather live in a tent in coastal CA.

Here's something I hadn't even considered in the pantheon of horribleness, people dying from surface burns from hot pavement or other surfaces. How does anything get done in these places? How do people do all of the outdoor work that needs to get done in any city or town?

I've never understood the whole, "isn't this disgusting" humor. Don't get me wrong, I can be a dirty bird but never understood mental images that induce vomiting thing. Different sense of humor, I guess.

Yeah, its been mid 90's here but the humidity is around 70-80%. In the mornings it worse, today at 7 it was only 70 but 90%. We've more or less given the horses the month off, and I'm forced to bike between 7-10, and that puts me out with people rushing to work, no fun for either of us.

I got a text from her today.
She said it's nowhere near refreshing and it's so salty that she can float completely flat on the surface.
