The bartender sees me pull in, and there's a pint waiting by the time I get in the door.

So, yes, I have a regular bar
I've always had a regular bar, no matter where I lived or how poor I was. I make friends there, I commiserate, I find business contacts, I flirt with the server girls, I watch sporting events.

But do they have shopping carts?

I have a semi regular place-for bar type food, and a regular killer tapas place where I always sit at the bar where the pass is just to watch the amazing variety of plates go by.

Also a former bartender/restaurateur. 2006-7ish we always had a crowd of Countrywide sales types throwing coin around. That crashed and burned. But whenever I go out, I engage the server/bartender, introduce myself and get their name, and generally talk to them about whatever. It is the hospitality business after all. I also tip crazy good if deserved because I get how hard it can be, and how what they make is often not dependent on them but on the back of the house. As a result of both practices, I'm usually treated more like a patron than a customer.

We have a few regular places. The local walking distance neighborhood pizza place every Tuesday with friends. They do a half price wine night and their food is excellent. We know the staff and owner pretty well. The local brew pub in the same neighborhood is similar but not visited quite as often. My oldest step daughter owns a well established Italian restaurant in town, we are there often as well. We eat out too much!

The closest thing I have to a "regular" spot is a restaurant. My wife and I eat out every Friday night. We have a random rotation of many different restaurants. One place is a South American and has great Peruvian food. When we go and get the good waiter, he knows I will want a Tonya beer with my meal.

We go there maybe 4 time in a year, so he has a great face memory.

I have a well stocked bar in my house. The benefits are that it’s vastly cheaper than drinking outside the home, I can’t drink and drive here and I make better drinks than most of the bartenders in bars. I am often amazed at how poor some mixed drinks can be, when you buy them in a bar. More than once, I have given bartenders lessons in how to mix better drinks, even simple things like a margarita.

That said, I used to attend a PCA breakfast every Saturday at a very upscale outdoor shopping area in Tulsa. I would often hang around for hours, shooting the **** with one friend or another, until 11 o’clock rolled around, at which point a nice restaurant there opened up for lunch business. I knew a couple guys that ate lunch there every Saturday, at 11 o’clock on the dot, and I would sometimes join them for a drink. Other times, I might head to their bar with a friend of mine, as I knew the bartender there and the restaurant was full of very hot, very rich women. Even the staff was smoking hot, especially the woman that ran the front of the house. That the food was also great and the bartender very talented were just icing on the cake. I took those opportunities to have the bartender make me something I had never had, it was a good way to kick back for an hour or two.

I haven't been a bar regular in a long time, but in my yoot there was a place I visited every night. They sold a beer glass of BV Chablis for $1. When I walked in Mathew (the bar tender) would ask "Dollar's worth of regular?"

(That may not make sense to the youngsters here. You see, there was a time when you could pull into a gas station and as the attendant to pump a dollar's worth of regular gas in your tank - and you'd get 3-4 gallons!)

Used to, back in my drinking days. Not now...haven't had a drink in decades.

Late lunch across street at sports bar.

420 Strain G13 IPA and some wings. Yum!

Bartender looked at me as I walked in, said IPA or PBR? The IPA is new the PBR is my go to.

Ralph pulled up out front, she drafted his Bud Light and had it waiting for him when he walked in. Ralph is good people he manages the County Golf Course up the road.

That is the bartender, that picture is very unflattering she is really easy on the eyes.

We told her and her boyfriend told her she should start an Instagram page and work towards being an influencer.

He older brother is in a Metal band I met him there the other day, I might go see him perform in a local Bar Saturday. Get out of my comfort zone. Sick of sitting home.

Full disclosure, I follow exactly 1 "influencer" on Instagram. The rest are people I know and the only reason I follow this one is because they are in the Exuma Islands and lot and I have gotten some good tips and bucket list locations to visit when I go back there.

I understand I just think that crap is a contributor to the downfall of etc blah blah our once great nation etc.

Little girls get the idea that carefully crafting pictures of their ass all day will get them free stuff and

oh wait nevermind

thanks to a ex-cop bartender who ran off anyone he did not like
odd mix that waterfront location next to cityhall in a boatyard
with an owner who didnot want or need to turn a profit
it was his getout of the house place and our private/public hangout
