If you haven't been following this guy's channel, you owe it to yourself if you are any kind of tech geek or into civil aviation. His delivery is a bit exhausting at times, but his ideas are jaw dropping.
So far, by episode 58, we have a Carbon Cub frame with a carbon fibre skin, off road style adjustable suspension, all glass cockpit, a race engine with NOs, a variable chord wing with hard points and enough solar panels , batteries and inverters to run a welder for a short time.

Start at episode 1 and get the popcorn.

Green laser strikes are real boys!!! Let's not talk about the more powerful blue lasers and purple ones.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/18-year-old-banner-plane-pilot-landon-lucas-makes-emergency-landing-on-route-52-causeway-in-ocean-city-officials/ar-AAMkt84

This all began just after 12:30 p.m. when the pilot, flying for an aerial advertising firm, reported engine trouble near Steel Pier in Atlantic City.

He was able to release his banner into the ocean and then spotted a gap in traffic on the causeway, where he was able to land.

So many people are giving the pilot, identified as 18-year-old Landon Lucas, kudos for bringing the plane down safely.

^^^Nice!

There will of course be a keyboard Ace that will critique what the kid did. In my mind, he had second to figure it out, made definitive choices and executed.

Excellent.

Scrappy Number 60

I am geeking out over this build. I have only flown in light aircraft twice, but appreciate the level of sophistication of the controls of the double flaps, and their relationship to the aileron position. They haven't yet mounted the double leading edge extensions yet. Probably in episode 61.

This guy makes it look too easy.

From avherald.com

A UPS United Parcel Service Boeing 747-8, registration N624UP performing flight 5X-3 from Hong Kong (China) to Dubai (United Arab Emirates), was climbing out of Hong Kong's runway 07R when the crew received indication of the #1 engines (GEnx, outboard left) exceeding limits at 400 feet, at 1500 feet the engine fire warning occurred. The crew discharged both fire bottles into the engine with the warning persisting. The aircraft stopped the climb and returned to Hong Kong for a safe overweight (about 940K, MTOW 987K, MLW 763K) landing on runway 07L coming to a stop about 2500 meters down the runway about 15 minutes after departure. Fire services put the fire out.
