Pretty shotguns, but they had better hit what you are aiming at no matter how bad a shot you are for those prices.

Weird to have mossbergs and the like in the same building as Bosis and Perazzi.

We still shoot a fair amount of skeet and trap here on the farm, but we used to shoot a lot. Make no mistake, there is a huge gap between an 870 and a J. Purdey & Sons (even a '50/'60 870 is a vastly superior shotgun to today's 870 offering). However, a high shot-count 870 driver is a match for an average Purdey shooter. Seen it. Not age related either, btw: I have seen some fairly competent shooters in there 30's and 40's get smacked around by high shoot count teenagers. Seat time, trigger time.

Geezus what planet are Boyz from? Planet 1950? I have been telling you for years spoon prices are strong. Prices have been on the rise since 1997 when the WS Journal ran an article that said collectable spoons are a legit investment. In 09 prices became soft for about 2 minutes and have since been climbing as if people would rather have the hard asset than the cash.
With the latest round of political and economic instability (notably comments by the FED) spoon prices have started to sizzle. The jury is still out on that as I need more confirmation. Now lets get to Griffin & Howe they are a long established maker of custom spoons and a premium retailer of the finest in sporting arms. Meaning their prices are strong retail as are the other purveyors in the same niche market. I have been an active participant in this endeavor since 1979. I watch a lot of auctions across the nation and even at times internationally on an on going basis. I can not tell you how many of these guyz I have dealt with. A lot of my acquaintances in this endeavor are no longer here with us. So you might say I have my finger on the pulse of this market. I also have formed an opinion recently as to what is gong to happen when the big 3 forms of investment (Bonds, Equities, and RE) cease producing ROI due to economic, political and social instability. You are already getting a taste of that now..

There are a couple teens in the US...actually in our area...that are within a few targets of the best adults in the world on a given day.
There is a 9yr old on the eastern shore that is better than quite a few adults at the registered shoots I go to. In fact he tied my score on a tough 5 stand recently. and no, he's not a 'big' 9. that list is definitely more of a 'collectors' (both informed and uninformed) list than a shooters list. If you want to see what 4 and 5 figure guns competitors are buying check out paxtonarms.com and pacific sporting arms.

I have some very nice shotguns, a Fox Sterlingworth and a few higher end Brownings, so I get it. But your daughter and her teammate are active shooters and practice. That was my point.

that was absolutely about gun fit.
the state of the art in sporting autos is about $1400 and wins plenty.

Fit and balance is what he paid for. And a good choke.

I have a friend in his 70's that takes his 28 GA Krieghoff out every Sunday for a coupla rounds of Skeet. He usually hits them all..like clock work. When he was younger he used to be competitive where he was #2 in CA.

I sold a Fox AE 20g awhile back. I haven't shot my SxS's in years and have been thinking of selling them. All LeFevers, 10, 16 and 20g. Original LeFevers, not the Ithica Nitro Specials
