Anyone a SKS spoonlubber?!

I have 1979. As cherry condition as they come. However, I am looking at a 1966 that is fairly worn... It has trench art for what looks like from the Balkans... I think it has interesting history. I'll be looking at it later today. What do you guys think?

It does have import stamp on the barrel between bayo, and front sight post.

One of the nice things about SKS rifles is that the stock can be replaced for a reasonable price. I would not pay extra for the trench art, just the going price. I bought an SKS short rifle once that had a broken stock and damaged magazine. Paid $125 OTD for it, took it home and stuck the action in a spare stock and threw away the ten round mag. Used a removeable 30 round mag (also a previously bought spare!). It turned out to be a really good shooting rifle!

I was looking at that. I have a numrich dealer account, and stocks are around 20$.
That said I didn't get this one. It had very little rifling left, almost a smooth bore... Definitely a turn in after the Balkans....
