The couple para-sailing....he says "oh-oh I think I forgot to lock my Buick" and then drops his phone into the water.
It would have been much better if he would have dove off after the phone.... GM has the worst commercials. I can't think of one that is good.

The Liberty Mutual "struggling actor" ad. Its played non stop. I want to tear the tv off the wall every time it comes on.
Any Lexus ad. Why is there a snooty highbrow British voiceover trying to sell a Japanese car?? .

This thread makes me love my DVR more and more. I don't watch much of anything live. Record it, and skip the commercials. If I watch the local news I let it get 8 minutes ahead. I catch up to live TV about when the weather portion is on, and I watch that live. As soon as that is over, TV off.
I have not seen 95% of the commercials you guys are talking about.

I was watching a show on Motor Trend TV, previously, Velocity, and previously Speedvision. The show I was watching was Roadkill. Pretty funny, and very guy oriented almost redneck engineering.
The good new is was recorded on my DVR. As I skipped the commercials, and started watching the next segment, over and over was an big add for something on the OWN network, for a show called Smothered. It evidently was about a mother and daughter and the daughter looked to be in her mid 30s or 40s. I would rather watch my ceiling fan spin that a show about an overbearing mother and some adult daughter that is under her control. Maybe women would want to see it, but to advertise it on a station that I bet is 95% men watching is poor placement of an ad. They also had ads for feminine hygiene products, during a Roadkill episode. Just bad ad placement. I expected adds for little kids toys next. It sure made me love my fast forward on my DVR.

I used to watch Roadkill and Dirt Every Day all the time on Youtube. Haven't watched it in a year or so though.
Reeces Not Sorry are stupid. I haven't seen many others as I don' t really watch TV.

dogs jump up and the same time and rush to the front door? Or the de-masculated man getting schooled for being ignorant by his wife or some grade school girl. |
