Roundabouts are great until you get stuck behind "Granny" who just comes to a complete stop and waits...

Roundabouts can only handle so many cars at a time.
When that number gets exceeded, flow grinds to a halt.

We have roundabouts with lights now, not really an improvement.

Well they do work if the roundabouts are massive in size, but that defeats the purpose of a roundabout, which is to get something put in place with limited cost and space requirements.

For instance in Holland they do huge roundabouts to support highway crossings with overpasses.

But yeah, on their own, small roundabouts choke
medium roundabouts with lights also eventually choke
And deconflicting traffic with overpass or tunnel nets the best throughput but has highest cost and needs the most space to implement

It's usually a case of "should have done it ages ago, but , no money then or now."

A Chinese coworker from Shanghai once gave me some tea. I asked her if there were any special instructions. She said, just wash it first.

Oolong and dark tea

Anyway, since practicing this I believe my black tea is less bitter.

Very interesting, thanks for posting. Two of my favorite teas are Oolong and Pu erh which should be rinsed according to the article. It sounds like this is why the second and sometimes third infusions are often better than the first.

I use a timer or at least watch the clock pretty closely when making tea because over infusing often leads to bitterness.

That, and the Michigan left turn (make a right, speed up, merge lanes, brake and pull off, make a left across two lanes into traffic already at speed or squat in the fast lane).
They got rid of the damn things decades ago for these very reasons. They are the cause of more accidents and don't calm traffic but tend to back it up at higher than average load.

This looks you could dizzy real fast. It looks like it handles all the traffic great, no backups at all!

The real problem is the lanes are on the wrong sides.

^That's full of extra parking spaces.
The Metro entrance must be nearby. Park and walk. How convenient.

I'll add The Hoff singing on stage.

Rotate the canvas to accommodate our lane direction and it makes total sense...
